1188 Union Business Center

20 h+
recovered every month on the month-end close
Two employees. A month-end close eating more than 20 hours. Not anymore.
The 1188 Union Business Center runs an entire building with a team of two. Every month ended the same way: hours of manual work on financial and operational routines nobody had time to question.
We started with a problem-mapping workshop, not a tool. Mapping their real processes surfaced the manual work with no value, plus a short list of small digitization moves on their financial and operational processes: the runway toward automation, ranked by payoff.
Then we built the first win: a SharePoint company portal that swallowed the boring work of the month-end close. Result: more than 20 hours recovered, every month. For a team of two, that's real capacity. And with their data and SOPs now living in one shared SharePoint, that portal becomes the context layer their AI-assisted workflows draw on: the AI foundations are laid.
The most important part came after. They asked to be shown how. That's what we're doing right now: I'm teaching the team to produce their own on-brand marketing content, on their design system, without going back through their agency. The work is faster, yes. But above all, the team is becoming more capable.
Caffé Lounge 1188

caffelounge1188.com
Notion CMS + Square POS sync
A website they update themselves, synced with the POS.
Caffé Lounge 1188 needed a web presence, but the usual offer for a small café is a site you can't touch: every menu change means calling a developer and waiting.
We built caffelounge1188.com differently. A content management system (CMS) built on Notion, the notes-and-databases app many teams already use, that they edit themselves. All synced with their Square POS: a price changes at the counter, the site follows on its own. No developer, no waiting, no invoice for moving a comma.
The real punchline: seeing the site and the CMS work is what made them say "show me how to do this myself." That request became an AI training. Today the café works with AI like a colleague: polishing the website copy, tending the SEO, producing the signs for the shop and the street, and feeding the screen behind the counter that rotates the monthly specials.
Every story starts the same way: understanding the business, deeply.
